Executive Director’s Message – February 2024

It is with enthusiasm that I extend my warmest greetings as the new Executive Director at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute. Joining this remarkable team, I am honored to step into this leadership role and work with the physicians and staff to continue our mission to conduct high-quality clinical research and to deliver excellence in patient care.

In a sense, this feels like a homecoming as I was once the chief radiation therapist and part of the team in 2006 that delivered the first treatment at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute. Following many years in radiation oncology administration, I am excited to return to this facility where we help patients around the world achieve better health and serve as a top proton therapy treatment provider.

It is an honor to be a part of this world-class cancer treatment facility – one that is a part of the Southeast’s most comprehensive academic health center and recently designated as an NCI Cancer Center. Building on the last 17+ years of experience and dedication to our patients, we will continue to put our patients first and lead the way in conducting research that advances cancer care.
